Richard B. Cheney a prominent public servant and a businessman is vice president of the United States. Cheney, a well-known face on the scene of Washington politics has worked under four presidents in the United States. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush named Cheney his vice-presidential runningmate in 2000, owing to his intelligence and judgment. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff for a president, served as a member of Congress and was the secretary of defense. Both Republicans and Democrats appreciate his honesty. Cheney declared that his position as a member of the Bush administration is to be an open but discreet adviser. Cheney declared that after he was accepted as the Republican nomination as vice president Cheney was looking forward to being a part of a president who would work with all parties in order to accomplish his goals. He will cooperate with opposition members in confidence. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the child of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. After 13 years of age, old, he relocated along with his parents from Nebraska to Casper within the Western part of Wyoming in Wyoming, where his father directed the local district of soil conservation to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
