Katherine Heigl has opened herself about her experience of being born into the "white bubble" and how this revelation has affected the way she raises her multiracial adopted children. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said recently that, in terms of skin color there is no difference. However, after talking to her adopted sister from South Korea she realized just the way society views people of different races. I wanted to know Meg if when she was going out with her parents she received a certain treatment and when out alone, she received a different kind of treatment. She said, 'Oh, sure, I was treated the same way all the all the time! Heigl told Parents, "That made me realise that I had been so ignorant." The singer became angry, and she decided to channel her anger into help her adopted daughters. Heigl has a son of 4 years with Josh Kelley, her husband over the last 13 years. In 2009, the couple adopted Nancy Leigh (12), one of their daughters of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in 2012.
